Associate Professor in the Department of Interior Architecture & Design, Steven B. Webber, has a new book coming out on October 17. Titled Interior Design Fundamentals, his new book details the basics of interior design, design thinking, and the design process. Prior to teaching, Webber practiced in the fields of architecture and interior design for more than 10 years for several firms including Gensler. He holds an NCIDQ certification, is a LEED-AP and member of IDEC and EDRA.
Assistant Professor and Foundations Coordinator in the Department of Interior Architecture and Design, Stephanie Sickler, has a new book coming out October 3. Sickler’s book, entitled Soft Goods Guidebook for Interiors, is a comprehensive guidebook to soft goods, from bedding to window treatments to accessories; it includes detailed information about industry standards, and the processes of selection, specification, and fabrication.
Sickler received her Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Florida State University where her graduate research focus was generational studies and interior design pedagogy. Prior to returning to Florida State, Stephanie taught interior design at the University of Alabama for a number of years where her focus was revitalizing foundations courses in the interior design curriculum.
