Tim and Dianne O’Brien have been part of the Florida State University family since 1984. Always active in the education of their two daughters, Tim and Dianne became part of the Interior Design Department family when daughter Michele was pursuing her BS and MFA in the mid-90’s. As they learned more about the program’s excellence, and its lack of private endowed funding, Tim and Dianne decided to focus their philanthropy at FSU on Interior Design. Tim and Dianne made annual gifts to build the DJMT O’Brien Scholarship, managed by the FSU Foundation and endowed in 2000. The DJMT O’Brien Endowed Scholarship Fund acknowledges each member of their family (Dianne, Julia, Michele, and Tim) while supporting scholarships and awards to students in Interior Design.  The department is grateful for the support of the O’Brien family.
