The FSU Department of Interior Architecture and Design recently bid a fond farewell to its graduate students who completed the Master of Science and Master of Fine Arts degrees in 2015.  Continuing its strong tradition of preparing students for design careers, 80% of these graduate students secured design-related jobs in teaching or applied practice within one month of graduation. These students are now working in architectural and design firms located across the nation, ranging from Miami, New York City and Washington D.C. to Orlando, Atlanta and Oklahoma City.

The west coast is also an area of increasing Seminole presence for FSU Interior Design, and this year two students have obtained high-profile design positions in southern California’s competitive design market. David Roan is a designer at Rapt Studio, a firm that creates interiors for companies including LinkedIn and Google, and Sarah Kibler will work with Walt Disney Imagineering in Glendale, California. They join previous alumni including Melanie Murata who is working for Gensler’s office in Newport Beach, California, and Tracie Kelly, interior designer at SOM in San Francisco.
