Alumni Award Nominations Open Now

The Department of Interior Architecture & Design is pleased to announce the call for nominations for IA&D’s 2021 Distinguished Alumni Awards. This program recognizes excellence in the design profession by FSU Interior Design Alumni through three unique awards.

The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes an alum of FSU’s Interior Design program who has worked in any areas of our profession including practice, research, education, product representation or other areas for 15 years or more and is notable for their outstanding personal achievement, service work, advocacy, contribution to our field’s advancement or to humanity in general.

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes an alum of FSU’s Interior Design program who has worked in any areas of our profession for 15 years or more and is notable for their outstanding and enduring service work, advocacy, or other contribution to our field’s advancement or to humanity in general.

The Emerging Alumni Award recognizes an alum of FSU’s Interior Design program who has established their career within the last fifteen years and in that time has distinguished themselves in their outstanding personal achievement, service work, advocacy, contribution to our field’s advancement or to humanity in general.

In spring 2020, inaugural awards were presented to:

Sue Markham (BS 1975, MS 2002) – Distinguished Alumni Award

Judy Brett (BS 1972) – Distinguished Service Award

Ronnie Belizaire (MFA ) – Emerging Alumni Award
