IAD’s Student Resource Room Sponsored by Wolf Gordon and Interiors Trading Co.

Published April 12, 2022

The Interior Architecture & Design Department at FSU has long prioritized preparing students for successful engagement with practice, including the effective specification of interior products such as flooring, wall and ceiling surfaces, and furnishings. This year the Department’s Resource Room has been jointly sponsored by Wolf Gordon and Interiors Trading Co.

Interiors Trading Company have showrooms in Tampa, Jacksonville, and Orlando.

Wolf Gordon’s product line includes commercial wall coverings, wall protection, upholstery textiles, Scuffmaster specialty paints and wink dry erase products. Through collaborations with leading international designers and in their design studio, Wolf-Gordon develops new works and products with an emphasis on excellent design and dependable performance.

Through the support of Les Cole with Wolf Gordon, students enjoy the opportunity to obtain free samples and materials for their projects, practicing the specifications process they will use after graduation. Les shared “I have always found it personally fulfilling to assist FSU design students in their journey towards growth and success. Learning that nearly a quarter of incoming freshmen in the program are Pell grant-eligible and that the Materials & Supplies gift fund is explicitly targeted towards those students, I felt compelled to be a part of it. As a member of the department’s Advisory Council, Les observes “it has been an enlightening experience to be a part of this for the past several years. Witnessing firsthand the dedication of faculty to provide a superior educational experience for their students has been truly inspiring.”

Interiors Trading Company is North and Central Florida’s “To the Trade” destination for interior designers. They bring the most notable and recognized names in furniture, fabric, wallcovering, trim, decorative hardware, and lighting to the design professional.

Industry partnerships offer key resources to the Department’s students and prepares them for successful practice. The Department ise grateful for these partners’ help and support of our program.
