Published July 27, 2021

Amy Lowey, an FSU Alumni who received her BS in Interior Design in 2006, was named a new member of the Department of Interior Architecture and Design’s Advisory Council.

The mission of the Interior Architecture & Design Advisory Council is to support the students and faculty of the Department of Interior Architecture & Design and help promote excellence in interior design education. The Council seeks to increase quality interactions that create a strong sense of community among students, faculty, practitioners, the larger design community, and society and also strives to support development and fund-raising activities that position students as future leaders in the profession and align with department priority areas. These members are called upon to offer advisement to students, promote innovative department educational programs and facilities, as well as advocate and assist in significant department, college and university initiatives.

Amy Lowey will soon celebrate one year as Project Director at IA Interior Architects in Atlanta, GA. Previously, she worked as a Project Director at Nelson (previously VeenendaalCave) for more than 10 years. Lowey is WELL-certified as well as LEED-certified.

Amy Lowey began her service on the IAD Advisory Council on July 1, 2021. The next meeting of the Advisory Council will be at FSU in September 2021.
