Horizon Light FixtureVictoria DavisThe Department of Interior Architecture and Design congratulates recent graduate Victoria Davis on her award for innovative concept in the 2015 Robert Bruce Thompson Student Light Fixture Design Competition. Only 7 awards were given and Victoria will receive a $500 reward and a plaque.

Victoria’s fixture, Horizon, uses horizontal lines and gradual variations in density to mimic the elements found in a sunset. The RBT Student Light Fixture Design Competition is an independent student design competition for the purpose of promoting education and awareness of light fixture design. This year’s design problem was to design a signature pendant fixture for a client opening a new wine bar and restaurant in a major west coast city. For more information about the competition and to view the winning projects visit the RBT competition website.
