Graduate and undergraduate students of the Department of Interior Architecture and Design’s Studio IV recently had the opportunity to visit Atlanta on a class field trip on the 24th and 25th of September. Dr. Lisa Waxman organized and facilitated the trip to Atlanta to tour showrooms at ADAC (the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center) as well as The Ponce City Market and SLAM Collaborative, an architecture and design firm with an office in Atlanta.
At ADAC, students were able to tour Lee Jofa / Brunschwig & Files Showroom with FSU Alumna Woody Yeomans, who has great experience with luxury residential design from small projects to complete design/build projects. Students also had the opportunity to tour the R. Hughes Showroom, the Design Galleria, Holland & Co/MacRae Design, and the Kravet Showroom. The remainder of the trip was spent with department’s advisory board chair and FSU Interior Design Alum, Bobby Johnston, who gave the tour at Ponce City Market and SLAM Collaborative.
