The Studio 4 Residential Interior Design class visited Atlanta September 11-13. Accompanied by their instructor, Jill Pable and Mary Katherine Crouch, graduate student, all enjoyed a tour of Pineapple House, a well-known Atlanta residential interior design firm. Designer and FSU alumni Stephen Parero shared an in-depth presentation with the students that described the design project process detailed through multiple current projects they had on the boards.

Students also spent the afternoon at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center, and members of the American Society of Interior Designers Georgia Chapter Board provided a walk-around tour to various showrooms. Students gathered insights about residential products at Kravet, Lee Jofa, Jerry Pair, Brunswig & Fils and many other venues. The students are currently crafting a hypothetical design solution for an existing actual residence, incorporating aging-in-place features so that the residents can comfortably remain in the home as their abilities change.
