At the annual Interior Design Educators Council Conference held March 9-12, 2016 in Portland, Oregon, five of FSU’s Interior Architecture + Design graduate students received national awards.
Anna Osborne
Anna Osborne, a first year Master of Fine Arts student, was recognized as one of three IDEC Foundation Graduate Scholars. Anna received a scholarship to travel to annual conference in Portland, Oregon.
“The Impact of Branding on the Third Place Environment” submitted by Sarah Kibler, 2015 MFA graduate, with Dr. Lisa Waxman was also chosen as a top five paper at the conference.
A group of graduate students also received third place for their video submission, Interior Design is More Than You Think. The video was submitted to the annual IDEC video competition where participants were tasked to create a video that showcased interior designers in action and their ability to create a deep and positive difference in the world. The third place video was created by Sofia Bodewig, Cara Carne, Jeremy Sackler, and Dana Trezek in the department’s graduate Visual Communications course which is led by assistant professor Amy Huber.
