Interior Architecture + Design third year students took part in a field trip to Interface as part of their sustainability class. Students were treated to dinner in the Interface Atlanta Showroom and had the opportunity to explore the sample room. Showroom staff explained the Interface philosophy of sustainability and the goal of creating a closed loop manufacturing process. The next day brought several mill trips to watch the carpet face woven, and the attachment of the face to the backing. Students then visited the Aware House to see vignettes of creative installations. The department is grateful to Interface and advisory board Vicki duVuono for making this happen.
