IA+D Graduate Students Complete Design for Housing and Clinic in Ghana

Interior Architecture + Design graduate students Hae Jeong Hwang and Casey Nettles have completed a report that proposes housing solutions and a clinic for the capital area of Ghana, Africa. Working with a variety of professionals, the students designed cost-effective housing for the Ghana middle class population that is economically feasible for residents, and offers them peace of mind for daily living. Additionally, the project included a design for a medical clinic and community center that will provide healthcare and build good will in the region.

When asked what encouraged them to complete this research, Hae Jeong said that “interior design opened a door for me to impact people’s lives, and designing for the disadvantaged population is how I want to contribute to society.” To view the report please CLICK HERE.
