KOENIG RETIREMENT CHAIR
On July 24, 2009, a Retirement Party was held for Peter Koenig to celebrate his 32 year service on the Interior Design faculty. A new tradition was started, where a classic chair is procured for the departrment Main Office with a framed picture of the chair and certificate naming the retiring faculty member. The Koenig Retirement Chair is a Hans Wegner, Wishbone Chair (1949). The faculty gave Peter a Vitra Miniature of the Wegner Chair as a token of their appreciation of his service.
