The Faculty
The department has a distinguished faculty of nine full-time members. These faculty are supplemented by adjunct faculty who are practicing professional interior designers, architects, and specialists in other areas and businesses related to interior design. All faculty members hold either a PhD or Master’s degree from major universities and have been chosen for their particular expertise in such areas as interior design, architecture, art and the technical and graphics aspects of design. Most of the faculty hold professional memberships in a variety of organizations including ASID, IIDA, IDEC, AIA and IDAF. Many are licensed interior designers in Florida and remain active in the profession.

Department OffICE ADMINISTRATOR
Deb Alexander (pictured above) is the Interior Design Department Office Adminstrator. She has two degrees from FAMU, and came to us from the staff of the Department of Biology, FSU. Long time office manager Janie Manasco retired in October 2007 after more than 20 years with this department. While we certainly miss Janie,it is great to have the office leadership of Deb!
