This past November, MFA students, Brittany Flock and Sarah Wallstedt attended the Hospitality Design Platinum Circle Gala in NYC as recipients of 2017 NEWH scholarship awards. In New York they joined third scholarship recipient, Sydney Kimball, who attends Endicott College in Massachusetts.

On November 14th, the three traveled together to the Platinum Circle Awards Gala at Ziegfeld Ballroom where they were received by Andria Thomas, NEWH Inc. VP/Scholarship. The annual black-tie festive dinner honors the recipients of scholarship awards as well as industry leaders receiving Platinum Circle designation.  Scholarship recipients are asked to give an acceptance speech thanking the organization and provided a few words about their future endeavors. Both Brittany Flock and Sarah Wallstedt’s theses focus on improving the hospitality industry though research and design – making them excellent candidates for this award.

Our MFA students feel honored to have been recognized by NEWH at the 29th annual Platinum Circle Awards for their achievements and to have been participants in this prestigious event.
