Alumni Spotlight: Leslie Hallquist

Leslie Hallquist (MFA, 2011) writes,”I am currently living in Houston, Texas and have been working for Kirksey Architecture for a year next week!  It is a wonderful firm to work for with a great company culture.  I am in the Interior Architecture department and have learned so much in the past year.  They have given me many responsibilities and opportunities to learn about the whole programming, design, construction and construction administration processes.  It is truly rewarding to walk a construction site and see a building or build out that you had a role in designing and documenting.  I think that FSU prepared me well for working in the industry, especially how the department emphasized the role of critical thinking and attention to details.  I recently passed the LEED GA exam and am currently studying to take the LEED AP ID+C exam.”
